How to Make a Gravity Bong(Bucket Bong) |
IF you have ever smoked off a gravity bong before, you know that there is not much else that messes you up quite like one! The amount of smoke that is pushed into your lungs is astounding and really puts you on your ass. A gravity bong, also known as bucket bongs, beach bongs, and depth charges, this is essentially a device that uses gravity and air pressure to draw the smoke into a large chamber and then force it quickly into the lungs. This gives you a way huger toke than most pipes, and you can get really baked quite quickly with a much smaller quantity of weed.
This is how I typically made my gravity bongs:
Out of all the gravity bongs I've smoked off, they've all pretty much been made the same way. So here we go:

Make a cut at the very bottom of the plastic bottle where it starts to fold in on itself to form the bottom. Chop the whole base of the bottle off.
Place the screen into the 5/8" socket. This is going to be the bowl for your gravity bong.A 5/8" socket fits PERFECTLY into the opening of a 2L Pop bottle. If you are really creative you can try other bowls out for your gravity bong, but this is what I prefer.
put the pop bottle into the bucket and fill the bucket with water until it reaches close to the neck of the bottle and your done!
Smoking: Spark your lighter and place it to the bowl as you slowly pull the bottle out of the water. The slower you pull the bottle out of the water, the more dense the smoke will be, the faster you pull, obviously the hit will be a little easier. If you get good enough to perfect the art of the gravity bong, it should appear as though smoke is pouring down the sides of the bottle like a waterfall!
Once the bottle is full, pull out the bowl and put your hand over top to make sure no smoke leaks out. You then put your mouth over the mouth of the bottle and push the bottle down until it sinks to the bottom of the bucket forcing the smoke down your lungs.
Make sure you don't try to suck the smoke in, let the gravity bong do the work! Just keep your lungs open and the smoke will flow in. If you aren't a pro, you might get some water in your mouth periodically, but its not the end of the world!
Prepare to be REALLY STONED!
